Tennis, in the heart of Rotterdam

Nestled
among houses, gardens, cafes and shops lies tennis park ‘t Centrum. The place
where LTV DOSH members enjoy the game of tennis on three gravel courts. Our
courts and clubhouse are situated behind the houses lining the Breitnerstraat,
Rochussenstraat and Mathenesserlaan, giving you the feeling you’re playing
tennis in someone’s lovely extended back garden.

Around
215 members come at various times for a good game of tennis in the weekend and/or
evenings every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Even outside these
times, members can show up unannounced for a (quick) game.

Coming
to the club by yourself? Great! Everyone at DOSH plays tennis with whomever is
there; whether young  or old, beginners or
advanced. It’s an excellent way to get to know the other members and the
game of tennis.

Our
clubhouse is in the hands of the club manager, so you won’t be asked to take on
compulsory bar duties.

The
latest info

Get
the latest updates about DOSH through our website, newsletter (NL only) and the
clubhouse notice board. We have also set up various WhatsApp groups for a
speedy glance into when the courts are open. Plus you can see who else might be
popping in to play and/or app with other members to meet there at a specific
time.

Tournaments
and competitions

At
various times throughout the season, DOSH organises a number of internal tennis
tournaments. These include the Season Opener and Club Championship tournaments.
Great days to come together, meet other members and, after the tournament, paly
a few games yourself!

In
the summer, we organise the official KNLTB Open tournament. Any KNLTB member
can sign up for this event.

Saturdays,
DOSH competes in the KNLTB’s spring and fall district competitions.

Tennis
balls

During
regularly scheduled court times, we provide the tennis balls; three balls per
court. These tennis balls are managed by the equipment commissioner and are
available for you in the clubhouse.

Please
note: during un-official court times, you must provide your own tennis balls.

Playing at DOSH

The
newest version of the ClubApp has arrived! It’s never been so easy to stay up
to date with all the goings-on of the club. Here you can reserve a court, see who
will be tending the bar, check out competition scores, and even search for a tennis
partner and invite that player to join you.

Temporarily,
due to COVID-19, you must reserve a court ahead of time if you’d like to come
play at DOSH, and it is only possible to play a game of singles. However,
should we receive the go-ahead, as of 1 June you may book time slots for a
foursome and our outdoor terrace will be open for you to sit and relax – at a
social distance of 1.5 metres. It’s not yet clear if we will be allowed to open
the clubhouse and bar.

NOTE:
When we receive the full COVID-19 ‘all clear’ we can go back to our usual DOSH programme
of show-up-and-play; no reservations will be needed as of that point.

We
will shall keep you posted.

In
the meantime, you may reserve a court up to one week in advance. Reservations
must be made through the KNLTB Club App, either by you or by your singles partner
(or as of 1 June, by someone in your foursome). Thanks to user feedback, we are
updating the app on a regular basis, making it easier to use each time.

Step
1: install the ClubApp

The
KNLTB app can be installed via App Store or Google Play, depending on what kind
of mobile phone you use. Download the KNLTB ClubApp and select L.T.V. DOSH to go
to our club page.

Step
2: log in

Type
in your ‘Bondsnummer’ (membership number, found on the front of your member
pass, lower right corner), enter your password and tap ‘Inloggen’ (log in).

You
can choose your own password at your first log in by tapping ‘Reset mijn
wachtwoord’ (Reset my password). You will receive a message at your registered
email address, requesting you to confirm your password. Can’t find the
confirmation email? Be sure to check your spam folder, or send an email to member
administration to ensure they have your correct email address.

Oops!
Have you forgotten your password? Tap ‘Wachtwoord vergeten?’ (Forget your
password?) and follow the above steps for ‘Reset my password’.

Step
3: reserve a court

Log
in to the ClubApp and tap ‘Baan reserveren’ (Reserve a court) at the bottom of
the page. You will be taken to the booking screen which will show the current
day and open timeslots, represented by green spaces with an encircled ‘ + ’ in
the middle; closed timeslots have grey spaces with an encircled ‘ – ‘ in the
middle. Naturally, you cannot reserve court time in a closed timeslot, but you
can tap on the closed slot to see who is playing.

To reserve
court time, tap on the desired timeslot in a specific ‘baan’ (court) in the
booking screen. The next screen asks you to add the name(s) of either the intended
DOSH club member(s) or a guest. Tap ‘Speler toevoegen’ (Add player) to get the
DOSH member list, then tap the intended name(s). You can also create a list of
‘Tennismaatjes’ (tennis buddies) and choose players from there.

To
add a guest, tap ‘Introducé toevoegen’ and type in the name and email of your
guest.

You as
well as the club member(s)/guest you have added will receive an automatic email
confirmation with the appointment details.

Like
to play on a different day? Tap the calendar icon on the top right corner of
the booking screen and choose a different day. Remember: you can only reserve
within a 7-day period at the moment.

Go to
the app’s Home screen to review your current tennis appointment(s), and click
on an appointment to see the complete reservation information.

Current court times

Like
to play socially? Reserve a court via the KNLTB club app[KB5] ! But
please be aware: because of the COVID-19 regulations, both youth and senior

  • All players must reserve a court time in advance!
